A Big Question

A Big Question
-----------------
Love
bears progeny carrying blood
colour red, only red
without any religion and caste to tow
till initiation.
A life takes shape,
living becomes mandatory
measuring up not to the reality
water starts flowing down the veins
filth fills the brain
actions contrary to religious beliefs
take center stage
inhuman behaviour with hatred
shatter the peace
bloodsuckers having a ball,
"should there be religions at all? "
A question raised by sufferings.
Oh! Why a Gandhi, King, Mandela
too take birth in this world insane
facing ups-downs and challenges
living through neither hell nor heaven
proving time and again
‘live and let live'
motto, what the God ordained.
Why are they far and few between?

Savage fights in Seria/Iraq/Ukraine and global terrorism prompted me to write this poem.

Inspite of the exhortations of great men to live in peace, love and harmony and the teachings of religions to tread through the righteous path, man is essentially pugnacious, beastly and viloent, ready to kill and spill blood! Great write!

It is not religion but the human behavior that has built in vice and virtue. Man will and can exploit any thing for its gain. Very nice poem to read and make us wonder about.

There are always going to be people who are out for themselves only. They want the power and the glory and don't care who suffers for their gains. Thought invoking poem, well done.

why can't people realise we all come here the same way and we all must leave the same way
we would do ourselves a favor to get along and peace and harmony. God would smile on all of his creation

  9. Yes, world peace and Humanity should be our new religion if this human race is to survive! Civilizations will rise and Civilizations fall, but the we refuses to hear Gods call! We have made all the distinctions, blaming others for our fall! Thanks, -Raj
