The twitter tweets again
Though in jest yet circumspect of pain
Paradise has been lost and how to regain
Surfer only knows to negotiate dangerous waves
And getting the kicks which one craves
Controversies are always there to court
Alas ! Poetry is no more an adventure sport.
The thrill is gone and gone is mystery
Not to be found is touch of mastery
Copy paste delete and copy paste again
Universities are registering insane, some sane
Circumventing maze to get declared
the winner
Trophies, certificates do not bring cheer
Yet everything is not fake. Oh ! My dear
Real poets are in for support
Alas ! Poetry is no more an adventure sport.
Ideas reveal anytime midway
Path is clear not like a zig-zag day
Eyes , brain and heart have its say
Universities do not pave the way
Manufacturing robots for a
poetic sorjourn
A poet seems pathetic & intellectually
torn
Actual poets seldom take the fort
Alas ! Poetry is no more an adventure sport.
So my dear ! Don’t lose heart
Good purchasers are too in a Haat
Best are selected and the best are selectors
Showing the way to mediocre quitters
Tweets are understandable
Questions are expendable
Let us help poetry not to abort

Poetry, Poets and Poetics !
Poetry... Some, so vibrant and dynamic; a wonderful expression of life itself, flowing free and mesmerising.. Some other, somewhat laboured and pretentious..
Poets... The experienced and the expressive, warm and sensitive, socially interactive..some detached, impersonal, looking for accolades...all types..talented and mediocre....
Poetics... Poetic politics, motley and medley of groups, some egoistic self appointed minor gurus and admins, contrived 'anthologies', and some so genuine and forthright ..
But overall, very low dismal standards !

Don't mind if I change the heading of this poem to Poet is in a mess... for various reasons, known to them but still they are happy to ignore to sell comfort for their own soul. I may have already written thousands of lines in lieu to pointing out this mess but in vain. Many have learnt, some have evolved...and this includes me as well. What I haven't learned yet is that the moment any fish comes to the shore, the poet opens the mouth to swallow it anyways. Yes of course Tribhawan Kaul, I mean awards. Such cravings and certificates are ruining creativity lest the poet thinks otherwise. You have correctly underlined many a point here in your message here. The thrill, the emotion and magnetic pull, the mystery, idiosyncrasies, healthy flirt with words...the magical ambiance, the midnight Moon and galaxy of glistening Stars...the beautiful metaphors are all missing. What remains is poetry devoid of poets. Poetry has become a sport really with amalgamation of bathroom singers trying to seek Grammy Awards... Still, Poetry will survive this battle for sure...and emerge as winner with or without such poets... :) Good of you to write on this topic, perhaps reading such from your ink for the first time...

It depends on the stuff that being read and how´s the imagination of the readers flow. The creator is always hiding her/his emotions and passions behind symbols to enhance more fantasy as well. <3 :) But honestly saying, In my observation, some new, amateur and aspiring poets have a lots and fantastic creation that is being unattended as well because of lacking connection to the Top and well-known poets as they said. Sad and pity that some see only those works of the big printed names. :(

Dangerous waves will go away and pure waves will come within. We hope that everything will be very fine. Paradise has been lost and how to regain we all are thinking but our effective positive action will bring transformation. We shall always help poetry and poets.
