An evening with poets and poetry

 Evening of 03rd June, 2018 was an evening of  poets, passionately in love with the poetry,  getting themselves to be heard and ever eager to listen to some delightful, soulful,  rythymical poems and gazhal  recitations which regaled the poet members of Delhi Poetree assembled at the residence of Col.(Rtd) Pooran Sethi in Defence Colony Delhi (The ever gracious Host). The meet was a part of monthly poetry meet orgainsed by Poet Laureate Amit Dahiyabadshah, the managing director of Delhi Poetree. The poems were presented in hindi, english, punjabi, multani (siraeki) languages which regaled the poet audience with flavour of humour, wit, sarcacism, valour and patriotism.  Those who presented their poems included Mrs.Ranjna Bakshi, Mrs. Indra Kapoor, Mrs. Kiran Bala,  S/Shri Col (Rtd) Pooran Sethi, Wg. Cdr.(Rtd) Prafull Bakshi, Dr. Jagdish Chandra Batra,  Shvikumar (Bilagami), Deepankar Pandey, Ghyan Prakash Chadha, Manoj Gujral, Omprakash Tritha, Sahil Miglani, Sidharth, Tribhawan Kaul and Amit Dahiyabadshah. Few more were present (I am sorry not to get their names) who were seen mesmerised while enjoying the evening. Young poet Sidharth read beautiful poems from his recently published poetry book ‘ bebas aur kagzi’ Heartiest congratulations while wishing him all the success.  

A special big thank you to indomitable Col.(Rtd) Poorna Sethi 95 for being a gracious host. The high tea spread was simply mouth watering.
