Politics

Politics
----------

Cruel is the world
No substitute for mercy
Moon is paying for its deeds
To sleep only with fading stars
The universe is not made of moon alone
Planets gather to conspire
To keep the sun always in good humour
Bright is eclipsed too, forget not
Caste, creed, sex, notions always matter
Statutes are burned by insiders
White and black painting the town red
In born nature of a man coming out in open
Progressive and regressive thoughts fight it out
For the supremacy.

We all tend to salute the rising sun. No one feel sad when the sun sets.

Apparently, the Jantha is going to celebrate the dawn of their rule in Ramlila grounds! It is to be seen whether it will remain as Jantha rule!

Quote from TK111946 Progressive and regressive thoughts fight it out For the supremacy.

Very beautiful poem. It is difficult to take-out a particular quote as the entire poem itself is a 'quote'.

It is very difficult to identify, distinguish and separate 'Good' and 'bad' many times in this universe. Many thoughts are debatable. 'Judging' would be very difficult. All conflicts, confrontations, fights, wars, verbal duels etc., are basically related to thoughts, theory, ideology, religion etc. When there is no agreement over the 'thoughts' between the two or more than two persons or groups, 'fights' erupt to defeat, erase and eliminate the other opposite 'thought/s' and to gain the supremacy. The tendency or thoughts of elimination of the rivals, opposites etc., has not spared even our Stars and Planets. We see such tendencies in them in causing Eclipses such as lunar Eclipse, Solar eclipse etc !

What are the 'Progressive' and 'Regressive' thoughts are subjective, debatable and left to one's individual perception. In Politics, Communists think that the 'Capitalism' is regressive and exploitative system and their 'Communism' is the only progressive political and economic system for the entire world to end the exploitation and to establish the equality. Karlmarx advocates for 'Dictatorship of the Proletariats' for the end of all sorts of exploitation. Those who advocate 'Capitalism' or 'Laissez-fair Economy (Leave Me Alone) say Communist theory is: "to rob Peter and feed Paul theory', it is destructive, it is not a progressive theory and that, it kills one's very creativity ! Whom do you believe and follow ? This process will necessarily involve some debate, friction, conflict and confrontation to gain supremacy and to spread a particular thought / ideology / theory

Politics is a machiavellian game though, even then we can't deny its presence in our life...a necessary evil it has become, we condemn it, hate it detest it...but then yield to it...Yeats' poem of the same title shows the aspect from his angle, what Valsa ji said about the antagonistic forces in nature that keep on wrngling together is the very thing i agree completely...Yes, it is deep but an obvious truth! ! !

There have always been such antagonistic forces in human nature and the war between good and evil, black and white can be traced back to time immemorial! Deep in content! ! Enjoyed! !

Politics has varied definitions but yes of course the current scenario in mos part of the world is making this business an endorsement of being powerful. Pity indeed, as this is a medium to serve society..
