Dear friends

This is the seventh  poem of mine  which has been translated into French by none other than Honourable Athanase Vantchev de Thracy, World President of Poetas del Mundo , undoubtedly one of the greatest poets of contemporary French.

Benevolent

Mother nature

provides in abundance

for her children to feed

unabashedly they perform C-sections

to satiate their greed.

She is hacked  to death every day, every minute

like a golden goose

her sons and daughters make merry

forgetting they are tightening themselves

their own noose.

Yet being a mother, she does not tweet

reserving  them a berth

for ancestors to meet 

and offers her body for carving  out

a place measuring, six by two feet.

Notre Mère Nature

Fournit en abondance

De quoi se nourrir à ses enfants.

Et eux, sans vergogne,

Lui infligent mille blessures

Pour assouvir leur cupidité.

Elle est exploitée à mort chaque jour, chaque minute

Comme la poule aux œufs d’or.

Ses fils et ses filles se divertissent

Oubliant qu'eux-mêmes resserrent

Le nœud coulant

Autour de leur cou.

Pourtant, en tant que mère, elle ne chante pas

Le jour où elle trouve un lieu tragique

Où ils peuvent rencontrer leurs ancêtres

Et leur offre son corps pour qu’ils y creusent

Un trou de six pieds sur deux.
